WorkBuddy Practical: 14 - Personal Life Automation Workflows

Covers travel, health preparation, meals, entertainment interpretations, purchase comparisons, and emotion records, with prompts organized around timeliness, privacy, permissions, and professional boundaries. The Agent organizes information without taking over medical or major decisions.

Life questions are more ambiguous than office questions

“Plan a trip,” “look at my medical-checkup report,” “what should I eat today,” and “calculate my fortune” may each sound like a one-line request, but they combine preferences, live data, privacy, and risk. An office file can be reworked; mistakes in healthcare, payments, visas, or major decisions can have very different costs.

Separate life scenarios into three types:

TypeWhat WorkBuddy can doWhat a person must do
Information organizationCollect preferences, compare candidates, and make listsConfirm facts and make the final choice
Real-time decision supportQuery weather, routes, inventory, and rules and show the query timeVerify and act on the official or provider page
High-risk or entertainmentOrganize questions for a clinician or provide entertainment-oriented interpretationsLeave healthcare to professionals and do not use fortune-telling as a decision basis

Scenario 1: a three-day trip without opening twenty apps

Guides, maps, weather, hotels, transport, budgets, and travel companions' preferences live in different apps. A generic AI itinerary may look complete while placing distant locations together, citing outdated opening hours, or inventing a restaurant.

  • Travel Assistant: itineraries, destinations, accommodation, food, and packing lists;
  • Tencent Map Assistant: POIs, routes, distances, weather, and maps;
  • Travel Packing List: packing lists based on weather, trip length, and travelers;
  • Travel Weather Risk: an additional Skill for detailed weather risks.

Step 1: collect constraints first

TEXT
Before making an itinerary, ask no more than eight questions to collect constraints:
departure city, dates, travelers, budget, transport preferences, daily walking limit, interests,
dietary restrictions, must-visit places, and places to avoid.
Do not repeat information already provided.

Step 2: candidate routes and live verification

TEXT
Plan a three-day independent trip for two adults from Shanghai to Quanzhou on July 18–20.
Budget: CNY 5,000. Preferences: culture and local food. Daily walking: no more than 15,000 steps.
Start with two route directions and explain the trade-offs. Generate the day-by-day plan only after I choose one.

Use map capabilities to check place order, distance, and estimated travel time;
label prices, opening hours, reservations, weather, and transport schedules with the query time and source.
Write “to confirm” when live verification is unavailable; do not invent details.
Output rainy-day alternatives, a budget range, and a packing list.
Do not log in, book, pay, or accept cancellation terms on my behalf.

During execution, WorkBuddy should ask detailed follow-up questions instead of deciding immediately, so the plan behaves like a personal guide rather than a generic itinerary.

Execution chain and deliverables

Preference questionnaire → two route drafts → human direction choice → map optimization → weather and opening-hours checks → budget and packing list → shareable itinerary page. A usable deliverable includes mapped routes, sensible sightseeing and travel times, sources, and real transport services—not only a polished schedule.

Before booking, a person confirms availability, price, visa, documents, insurance, and cancellation rules. If older adults, children, pregnancy, chronic illness, or accessibility are involved, write the constraints into the task rather than letting the model infer them.

Scenario 2: turn travel photos and bills into a reusable record

After a trip, WorkBuddy can organize photos by date and place, classify receipts, review the budget, and draft a guide. Do not assume it may read an entire photo library or delete originals.

TEXT
Read only copies of photos and receipts in trip-quanzhou/import.
Create a daily timeline from capture times and list files whose recognition failed for human confirmation.
Classify receipts as transport, accommodation, food, or tickets. Compare the total with the budget.
After I confirm places and impressions, create a private travel record.
Anonymize faces, locations, and order numbers in any public version.
Do not move or delete original files.

After the private record is confirmed, suitable information can be selected for a Xiaohongshu guide or a WeChat long-form article.

Scenario 3: prepare for a more effective medical visit

Many checkup metrics and symptoms are difficult to organize, and people may self-diagnose after searching online. Some health Skills even claim to estimate disease probability; this guide does not use that approach.

  • Health Management Consultant: focuses on lifestyle, understanding checkup data, and preparing for a visit; it does not diagnose or prescribe;
  • Clinical Skills related to Tencent Health should be used only in qualified, authorized clinical workflows. Ordinary users must not treat their output as a diagnosis;
  • Ask a doctor or pharmacist about medication safety. Do not let a general Agent decide to stop, change, or adjust medication.

The World Health Organization emphasizes placing ethics, human rights, and accountability at the center of AI health governance. For individuals, the practical boundary is simple: AI can organize information and prepare questions, but it cannot replace clinical judgment. See WHO's Ethics and governance of artificial intelligence for health.

Safety instruction

TEXT
Turn the checkup report and symptom notes I provide into a one-page medical-visit preparation sheet.
Output: a symptom timeline, original metrics and reference ranges, missing information to add,
questions to ask when booking, and a daily-observation template.

Do not give a definitive diagnosis, disease probability, prescription, dosage, or stop/change-medication advice.
Do not turn correlation into causation. If something may require prompt in-person care,
only suggest contacting a local medical institution or emergency service; do not continue online speculation.

An incomplete visit note can be synchronized to WorkBuddy so it can organize the preparation material.

Scenario 4: everyday health habits and meal planning

Low-risk health management is a better fit for WorkBuddy: hydration, sleep, exercise, diet records, and follow-up reminders. Skills such as Nutrition and Health and Healthy Recipe Recommender can help, but allergies, diseases, medication, pregnancy, and professional limits must still be stated.

TEXT
Based on my confirmed food preferences, allergies, budget, and available cookware,
generate five dinner candidates and a shopping list. For each meal, state the main ingredients,
estimated preparation time, and substitutions.
Do not claim to treat a disease or guarantee weight loss.
For diabetes, kidney disease, pregnancy, or drug interactions, stop personalized advice
and list the questions to confirm with a doctor or registered nutrition professional.

The Agent should ask about the actual diet and cookware before producing a personal dinner plan rather than an apparently precise medical diet that does not fit the person. \ No newline at end of file The Agent should ask about the actual diet and cookware before producing a personal dinner plan rather than an apparently precise medical diet that does not fit the person.

Scenario 5: fortune-telling, astrology, and divination without crossing the line

Traditional culture and entertainment tests can support cultural experiences, social interaction, writing inspiration, and self-questioning.

Birth time, location, and family information are personal data. Interpretations can be phrased as definite predictions, and users may use them for medical, investment, hiring, relationship, or career decisions.

TEXT
Use a traditional-culture entertainment format to generate a BaZi cultural interpretation from information I provide voluntarily.
Start with “For entertainment and cultural experience only; this does not predict a definite future.”
Separate chart calculations, traditional interpretations, and modern reflection questions; do not state tradition as fact.
Do not provide medical, investment, legal, relationship, or career decisions.
Rewrite every conclusion as a verifiable self-question and include at least one counterexample angle.
Do not retain birth time or location long term; remind me to clear the input when the task ends.

Scenario 6: clothing, household lists, and purchase comparisons

Other low-risk and practical uses include:

Use weather data and Daily Outfit Inspiration, with city, occasion, existing clothing, and disliked styles. Prefer items already in the wardrobe rather than assuming a purchase.

Turn documents, medicine, chargers, children's supplies, and pet arrangements into grouped lists with owners and completion states. Automation can remind people, but it cannot confirm whether medicine is suitable for a family member.

Ask WorkBuddy to build a table of specifications, price, after-sales service, privacy, and long-term cost, then check official pages and actual contracts yourself. Mark promotional copy, affiliate links, and merchant ratings separately rather than mixing them into factual columns.

TEXT
Compare three robot vacuums using only manufacturer websites, manuals, and the quotations I provide.
List cleaning structure, obstacle avoidance, consumables, privacy, warranty, price, and uncertainties.
Separate marketing language from verifiable specifications. Do not recommend based on sales volume.
Finally, give a conditional recommendation for a home with pets, a 2 cm threshold, and high privacy needs.
Do not place the order or accept service terms for me.

Scenario 7: emotion records and real-world support

WorkBuddy can organize emotional triggers, sleep, events, and coping actions, then generate review questions or a summary for a counselor. It should not impersonate a psychologist or make the user depend only on an Agent.

TEXT
Organize this week's emotion records as event, thought, feeling, physical response, and action taken.
Summarize recurring patterns only; do not diagnose or label my personality.
Generate five questions I can discuss with a trusted person or professional.
If the content contains signs of self-harm, harm to others, or immediate danger, stop the ordinary review
and tell me to contact local emergency services, a professional organization, or a trusted person immediately.
  1. Timeliness: Where do weather, price, inventory, policy, and opening-hour data come from, and when were they queried?
  2. Privacy: Where are birth information, location, health data, and family details sent, and can processing stay local?
  3. Action permissions: Will the Skill log in, book, pay, send messages, or change a calendar? Can it pause before action?
  4. Professional boundary: Does it present entertainment as fact, health advice as diagnosis, or a recommendation as a guarantee?

Local-file processing and backup rules

WorkBuddy is often used for file conversion and renaming. To prevent irreversible mistakes:

  • Define a safe workspace: limit WorkBuddy to a specific directory such as D:\WorkBuddySpace\. Deletion or writes outside it should be restricted automatically.

  • Snapshots and backups:

    [!IMPORTANT] Backup rule: before authorizing an Agent to archive or rename files, manually snapshot or back up the target directory. During complex regular-expression renaming, an AI Agent may misunderstand the rule and overwrite content or remove extensions.
